The people of Biafra hereby state unequivocally that they are not participating in the so-called elections currently being organized by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Information reaching us from all the cities, towns and communities in Biafra and Nigeria and especially from the Nigerian capital Abuja indicate that the current elections just like the ones organized by this government in previous years have been compromised beyond redemption. Biafrans want us to inform the world that the peoples of Biafra have boycotted these elections and their results and will have nothing to do with any published or unpublished results of these elections.
There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that the Federal Government of Nigeria continues to be a destabilizing force in the West African sub-region in particular and sub-Saharan Africa in general. An independent state of Biafra will guarantee stability, freedom, and liberty for the peoples of the West African sub-region and a major force for stability in sub-Saharan Africa. We ask all who want and desire stability in this region to support an autonomous independent State of Biafra.
